LEXIS 21301 (S.D.N.Y. 2009) (RICO complaint in a shareholder derivative action upheld; case settled for approximately twice the amount that had been previously offered); In re G-1 Holdings, Inc., No. 02-3082 (D.N.J.) (After a four week bench trial, objection to IRS Bankruptcy proof of claim seeking $300+ million in taxes sustained); Aaron v. Aaron, 64 A.D.3d 1103 (N.Y. App. Div. 3d Dep't 2009) (Court affirmed trial court ruling, following a trial handled by Mr. Burstein, that the beneficiary of a will was not obligated to make subsequent bequests to her son); Board of Mgrs. of 195 Hudson St. Condominium v. 195 Hudson St. Assoc., LLC, 63 A.D.3d 523 (N.Y. App. Div. 1st Dep't 2009) (Court affirmed a $2 million jury verdict in a case tried by Mr. Burstein and ordered a limited new trial so that the plaintiff could pursue damages as to which expert testimony had been precluded)


2008: Dworin v. Deutsch, 2008 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 13655 (S.D.N.Y. 2008) (Defamation complaint against television host Donny Deutsch dismissed); Dreier LLP et al. v. Regan, No. 103251/08 (Sup. Ct. N.Y. Co.) (Complaint against legendary entertainment lawyer Bertram Fields dismissed in return for withdrawal of sanctions motion); City of Phila. Bd. of Pensions & Ret. v. Tribune Co., 2008 U.S. App. LEXIS 12957 (7th Cir. 2008) (Court affirmed dismissal of class action securities fraud complaint won by Burstein in the District Court); Sammarco v. Big Apple Car, Inc., 2008 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 98361 (E.D.N.Y. 2008) (RICO complaint dismissed); United States v. Sito, 06-CR-171 (E.D.N.Y.) (Central figure in Newsday and Hoy circulation fraud sentenced to just probation, community service, and a $15,000 fine); Old Point International v. Sightline Systems (Multi-million dollar dispute over ownership of a software company, played out in two different courts and in an arbitration, settled on eve of the arbitration hearing with the defendants giving up all claims of ownership); Thurman v. 2006: Panix Matter of Comptroller of City of N.Y. v. Mayor of City of N.Y., 7 N.Y.3d 256 (N.Y. 2006) (Court affirmed lower court rulings, in proceedings handled by Burstein, that the New York City Charter barred the Mayor of New York City from licensing the City's intellectual property without a public hearing); Crab House of Douglaston, Inc. v. Newsday, Inc., 418 F. Supp. 2d 193 (E. D.N.Y. 2006) (RICO complaint dismissed)


2005: Panix DiBella v. Hopkins, 403 F.3d 102 (2d Cir. 2005) (Court affirmed $600,000 jury verdict for libel in a case tried by Burstein); Confidential Client (Convinced Westchester District Attorney not to arrest celebrity client for rape); Pacquiao v. M&M Sports, Inc., 05-civ-4200 (S.D.N.Y.) (Case tried by Burstein settled during jury deliberations by release of famed boxer Manny Pacquiao from exclusive promotional agreement and by payment of money to him)
