OF COUNSEL
Peter B. Schalk
Peter and Judd began working together in 1997. Peter has played a major role in many of the law firm’s victories and been an instrumental part of a number of the firm’s high-profile matters. While Peter has his own style of litigation, over the 25-plus years that he and Judd have practiced together, they have developed a rapport that is highly unusual in the legal field. In addition to his own responsibilities as a litigator, Peter also supervises other attorneys and staff at the firm.

Victor joined the firm as an attorney in 2025. However, he was hired by Judd Burstein in 2015 as a paralegal and continued in that role throughout law school. Victor has assisted Mr. Burstein in more than ten trials and over fifty depositions in federal and state courts, as well as in arbitrations, and countless oral arguments – all before going to law school. This involvement gave him experience that is rare for a juris doctor candidate or newly admitted lawyer.
At Brooklyn Law School, Victor focused his education on various stages of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial, while studying myriad topics, such as real estate practice and family law. He took courses taught by the Honorable Timothy S. Driscoll and United States District Judge George B. Daniels, seizing the opportunities to learn from the judiciary and gain valuable insights from unique perspectives.
Having the benefit of Judd Burstein’s diverse case portfolio, Victor’s work covers a wide range of subjects, including commercial law, entertainment, intellectual property, matrimonial, sports, and trusts and estates. He participates in nearly every phase of the practice’s cases, from initial client meetings through resolution of matters. In addition, with his years of experience as a paralegal, Victor trains and teaches the firm’s staff in connection with various projects and tasks.
